Where love reigns, laws are superfluous
Our
wedding
Welcome!
If you're reading this, it's because we'd love to have you at our wedding. We’ve rented an entire “pueblo” which in Spanish roughly translates to “village”—but think of it as a large holiday home or a small village where we can relax with you and spend the weekend together. The venue includes several small houses with a capacity for 50 people. There are two swimming pools, a barbecue area, a padel (which is a popular sport in Spain similar to pickleball) court, and plenty of space to enjoy.
Our wedding is on Saturday, May 23rd, but we would love to welcome you on Friday with a small reception featuring food and drinks. On Saturday, we will have a civil ceremony followed by a meal and dancing.
This is our wedding journey, step by step, for you to enjoy with us.

Bus
service
We will provide a bus on Saturday, May 23rd, from Burgos (the main city) to the venue. We haven't set a time yet, but we'll share all the details closer to the date.
If you'd like to attend the welcome party and aren't staying at the venue, the best way to get there is by car. If you need to rent a car, you can do so from Burgos, but if you're arriving in Madrid, we recommend renting one from the airport. The wedding venue is 35 minutes from Burgos.
If you don't rent a car and stay overnight with us in Villadiego, please let us know because we are considering adding another bus on Friday and another one back on Sunday.
Accommodation
of Hotels
For guests who wish to stay overnight, we have made special arrangements
The venue where we're getting married can accommodate up to 50 people. We're prioritizing our closest family members and those traveling who need accommodation. We also want to offer options for everyone, so we've found two hotels: one in Burgos (the capital) and another in the nearby town of Villadiego. You decide where you'd prefer to stay.
If you’d like to stay at the venue with us, please indicate that in the RSVP form. We may not be able to host everyone, so accommodations will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
If, when we receive your response about whether you would like to stay with us, there are no places available, we will let you know promptly so you can book something on your own.
We love seeing you looking radiant, but if you want to know what to wear, here is our suggestion:

Yes! We are a family, and we know firsthand how hard it is to leave your kids with someone you trust. We’d be happy to welcome your whole family. If you are traveling with children, please let us know how many will be coming.
When is the best time to book our flights?
Based on our experience (and with a little help from ChatGPT), the best time to book is from mid-February to early March.
What city is the best to fly into?
The best city to fly to is Madrid.
How to get from Madrid to Burgos?
There are several options: 1. By car
The first option is to rent a car directly from Madrid airport.
2. By bus
If you don't want to drive, there are direct buses from Terminal 4 of Madrid airport to Burgos.
(If you arrive at Terminal 1, there is a free shuttle bus that takes you to Terminal 4).
2. By train
Madrid Airport → Madrid Chamartín Station by Cercanías (approx. 30 min).
Madrid Chamartín → Burgos Rosa de Lima by train (approx. 1 h 50 min – 2 h).
How to get from Burgos to Las de Villadiego?
The best option is to rent a car at Burgos train station.
If you do not wish to rent a car, please let us know to see if we can arrange a minibus.
What can we give you as a gift?
We see our wedding as a celebration of life, and our main goal is to bring together our favorite people. We know many of you will be spending money and time to be with us on this day, which means so much to us. The best gift you can give is your love and support; nothing else is needed.
What else should we know?
The venue is like a small hamlet, with nothing else around. The nearest town is about 5 km away and has some cafés, restaurants, and a small store in case you need anything.
If you stay with us, we'll provide a basic breakfast on Saturday and Sunday (coffee, milk, etc.), and we also plan to share some snacks. Most houses have a fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, so if you prefer to bring something for your breakfast, you're welcome to do so.
What is the weather like in May?
Burgos is known for being one of the coldest cities in Spain. Daytime temperatures can reach 22°C if the weather is nice, but at night they can drop to 2-5°C, so bring a light jacket or sweater.
If you have any other questions, please reach out to Cristina or Julian.
We are so excited to celebrate with you!
